The terms for using this website, and for donating, booking and applying through it.

These terms were drafted for the masjid based on what this website actually does. It has not been reviewed or adopted by the trustees, and it is not legal advice.

Every highlighted blank must be filled before publication, and the trustees should have the final text checked by someone qualified.

About these terms

These terms apply when you use this website, and when you donate, book or apply through it. The website is run by Makkah Masjid Bolton, 100–110 Grecian Crescent, Bolton, Lancashire BL3 6QU (registered charity number to be confirmed).

By using the website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Using this website

  • The information on this website is given in good faith. Prayer times, events and other details can change — please check with the masjid if something matters to you.
  • We may change, update or remove pages at any time.
  • Please do not misuse the website: do not try to break into it, send spam through its forms, or give false information.

Donations

  • Donations are voluntary gifts to the masjid, a registered charity. Card payments are taken by our payment provider, Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
  • A monthly donation continues each month until you stop it. You can stop it at any time by contacting us.
  • If you have made a mistake with a donation, please contact us as soon as possible. Our refund policy: to be confirmed.
  • If you tick Gift Aid, you confirm that you are a UK taxpayer and understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations, it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

Event bookings

  • Your booking is confirmed when you receive the confirmation email with your ticket.
  • Paid tickets are paid by card through Stripe. Seats are held for a short time while you pay; if a payment arrives after the seats have gone, it is refunded in full.
  • Cancelling a booking and refunds: to be confirmed.
  • The masjid may need to change or cancel an event. If a paid event is cancelled: to be confirmed.

Stall bookings

  • A stall is booked only once the payment has been taken by Stripe. Until then it is held for a limited time while you pay.
  • Cancelling a stall booking and refunds: to be confirmed.
  • Stallholders must follow the arrangements the masjid gives them for the day: rules for stallholders to be confirmed.

Venue hire and funeral requests

  • Sending the venue hire form is an enquiry, not a booking. A booking is agreed with the masjid afterwards, on its hire terms: to be confirmed.
  • Sending a funeral request asks the masjid to help arrange a funeral. We will contact you as soon as we can; in an emergency please telephone 01204 524200.

Youth Club

Youth Club registrations are also covered by the Youth Club's own terms — Participation, Safeguarding, Behaviour & Respect, Data Protection and the Declaration — shown on the Youth Club form.

Your information

How we use the personal information you give us is explained in our Privacy Policy.

This website links to other websites (for example our payment provider and maps). We are not responsible for their content or how they use your information.

Our responsibility

We take care to keep this website accurate and working, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
